Here's a bit of background about us ... |
Kai Lodge is owned
and operated by
us, Chris and Marlene Peterson.
For most of our lives we've been actively engaged in commercial fishing
on the west coast of British Columbia. We have three grown kids
and one grandchild, Kai, who appears at the bottom of this page.
For many years we also ran Rogue House Retreat,
a bed and breakfast in Sointula, Malcolm Island,
just off the northeast coast of Vancouver Island.
Here are some entries from our
guestbook at the time.
Unfortunately, at the end of 1995 we had to close Rogue House Retreat,
as we had moved to Victoria. Following the move of our
son Rhett, daughter-in-law Ali and grandson Kai to Dawson Creek,
we decided it was time to get back into the B & B business again,
but this time with a northern twist.
So in the fall of 2006 we moved north and in February 2007
we opened Kai Lodge, intent to make it as cozy and comfortable
as we had Rogue House Retreat.
